- Gounsa Temple
- Location : Gugye-ri, Danchon-myeon
- It is the Head Temple for the 16th District of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism which was established by Buddhist priest Uisang in the first year of King Sinmun of the Silla Kingdom (681). The temple controls around 60 subordinate temples.
- The Buddhist priest Samyeong stored rice for emergencies and treated the wounded during the Japanese (Hideyoshi's) invasion of Korea in 1592, so the temple is also well known for its active role to defend the motherland. As the source of Buddhism and learning, the temple gave birth to several high priests such as Buddhist priests Hamhung and Suweol, and it is still frequented by many Buddhist monks.
- It preserves National Treasure No. 246 The Statue of Sitting Buddha and 27 temple houses including Regional Tangible Cultural Asset No. 151 Gaunru Pavilion, and it also has a 500-meter long pine forest for casual hikers called “Solgul” at the entrance, and Dungun Mountain in the back of the temple has a path up a mountain for mountain climbers.

- An intra-city bus operates between Uiseong and Gounsa Temple once a day. It takes about 45 minutes (08:40).
- Intra-city buses operate between Andong and Gounsa Temple four times a day. It takes about 40 minutes.

- Sujeongsa Temple (Daegam Village in Sanun)
- Location : Sanun-ri, Gumseong-myeon
- Since clouds circle around under the Sujeong Valley, the village was named Sanun (literally meaning ‘mountain clouds’ in Korean). The area is populated by the Youngcheon Lee family. The area is famous for its scenic beauty and 20 traditional Korean houses are presered here including Hakrokjeongsa (Regional Tangible Cultural Asset No. 242), Ungokdang (Traditional Architecture No. 12), Jeomwoodang (Traditional Architecture No. 12) and Sowoodang (Traditional Architecture No. 13). The area produced such high-ranking government officials as Gwang-jun Lee (1531∼1609), Min-seong Lee and Ui-bal Lee during the Joseon Dynasty, and Tae-sik Lee from the village fought against Japanese colonists during the Japanese colonial era and many others made great contributions to political development and their home town.
- In the valley of Gumseongsan Mountain within the village, there is Sujeongsa Temple which was established by Buddhist priest Uisang under the rule of King Sinmun during the Silla Kingdom.

- Daegoksa Temple (Mt. Bibongsan)
- Location : Pyeongrim-ri, Dain-myeon
- The mountain rises 579.3 meters above sea level and was called Mt. Taehangsan) before the Goryeo Dynasty and Mt. Jamisan during the Joseon Dynasty.
- There is a 3 km-long path between Daegoksa Temple and Jeokjoam, and it take one and a half hours to reach the top of the mountain overlooking a 3,930 meter-long valley. In the south, Angye Plain faces the Nakdonggang River which flows in from the north, and since the geographical features of the mountain are exquisite, it is loved by many mountain climbers. The Daegoksa Temple, which was established by Buddhist priests Jigong and Nawoong in the 17th year of King Gongmin of the Goryeo Dynasty, preserves Regional Tangible Cultural Asset No. 160 Main Temple and Regional Tangible Cultural Asset No. 161 Pavilion for a Buddhist Temple Bell, and a feast for the elderly living nearby is held every year in the compounds of the temple.
