  • Uiseong Yellow Earth Rice
    • Uiseong Yellow Earth Rice is a type of rice that is guaranteed by the Governor of Uiseong, under the technical guidance of the Uiseong-gun agricultural technology center, to have a good taste which was produced with productive technology to lessen the use of fertilizer and agricultural chemicals. The rice is planted in paddies in the yellow earth distributed within Uiseong-gun.
    • Charterristics
      • 1. Cultivated in the yellow earth soil full of micro-elements
      • 2. A superb grade of rice that is acknowledged worldwide for its flavor.
      • 3. The quality of the rice is elevated by increasing the exposure to the sun and by only planting 1 crop in the field per year.
      • 4. Increased the flavor by harvesting the rice before the first frost.
      • 5. Using the proper fertilizer after a soil inspection.
      • 6. Drying for 1000 days (In Sunlight)
      • 7. Cultivated using less agricultural chemicals under the overall control of disease germs and noxious insects.

      • Producing District : 100 ha is cultivated in the Danbuk-myeon, Bian-myeon, Gucheon-myeon, Dain-myeon, Danmil-myeon, Uiseong-gun, Gyeongbuk.

      • The results of the taste tests for the yellow earth rice showed that the overall evaluation such as the shape, flavor, gloss, consistency, and texture, etc gave the rice a good reputation as a premium rice with good quality compared to the general rice which is circulated in the market.
