Since Uiseong-gun is located at the center of the province, all cities and counties are within 80 km except for Uljin-gun, and since the road network is advancing quite rapidly, the inland distances are decreasing more and more each year. The central railroad passes through Gumseong-myeon, Uiseong-eup and Danchon-myeon in the north and the south, and since the central expressway goes through Bongyang-myeon and Yangpyeong-myeon, Uiseong IC was installed in Dowon-ri, Bongyang-myeon. National Road No. 5, which runs between Daegu and Andong, was expanded into a four-lane road, the roads, including the national roads between Uiseong and Youngcheon and between Bongyang and Dain, have been extended by a total of 85km, and the local roads are as long as 211km and gun roads 140km.

The northern region of Sinpyeong-myeon is adjacent to Andong Life Zone, and in the past, part of Gilan-myeon in Andong-si and part of Hyunseo-myeon in Cheongsong-gun were close to the Uiseong Life Zone, but with the advancement of transportation the distance tend to increase.
